For their first solo show, the two graphic designers Manuel Krebs and Dimitri Bruni analyze the various aspects of two-dimensional space and its circumstances. That is what the German title defines. NORM exhibits objects that reflect how everything can be “reduced”, or “expanded”, on a two-dimensional surface. Released from the commissions they are usually working on, the obsession of the graphic designer is free to create a self-generated work that shows a strong and mathematical appetite.
NORM created two personal books. In 2000 Norm: Introduction, and in 2002 Norm: The Things. They participated to many worldwide group shows. This exhibition is a big statement developed in the outstanding space of the Lucy Mackintosh Gallery.
